Day 12 and 13

Day 12: Emulated Pablo Picasso

Day 13: For day 13 I was suppose to watch a movie and sketch scenes from that movie....However since my weekend could not find time to allow a movie to be watched, I sketched at my school talent show. Had a great time trying to get two done per act! Here are my finished water colored pieces, more to come.

Day 11

Today's assignment is to emulate a style of another artist, and since I am a HUGE Pixar fan, I chose Lou Romano!!! He has such a simplified beautiful style, that I did my best to capture.

Day 9 and 10

For day 9 I attempted to draw in a more of a box style, and unfortunately failed. But that's okay, part of being an artist is accepting failure and working from there. Keep moving forward!!!

Day 10: I was fortunate enough to travel to the Metropolitan Museum of Art during my spring break, and there I had the opportunity to sketch a lot! I love the Roman and Greek busts and carvings, so I became very inspired by them! Unfortunately I do not know the artists. Enjoy!

Day 8

Part of the glory of a 30 day challenge, you get to see your worst work come to life!
Today was 2pt perspective, and unfortunately I just ran out of time! So enjoy my ugly piece of excuse of Day 8!

Day 6

Day 6 is figure drawing, but because I posted many of the same that I have previously posted, I will post my most recent. I tried drawing in oil pastels, and they turned everything very simplified.

30 Day Challenge- Day 1

A couple of my awesome Ringling buds decided to participate in a 30 day challenge. Yes, that means one post every day for 30 days! Yes, 30 days!
Today's assignment was to paint a background. This piece I first sketched it out with the water color, and then outlined with a black felt marker.

Figure I'd update

Spring Break is half way through and I've finished my water color sketchbook, started a new one, and attended both a portrait and figure drawing open studio the past two days. Also finally received my postcard from CSSSA saying they received my application! Anyway, thought I should update with some figures! Enjoy!
