I am still alive!

My summer months have been a whirl wind of fun and crazy times! I attended CSSSA and was probably home for a total of two weeks the whole summer! Currently on the applying college journey, first stop SVA! Then CALARTS! Here are some sketchbook work I've done recently!

CSSSA- Preparation

The big day is upon me, CSSSA officially starts today!!!!! After a full two weeks of running around as if my head was not attached to my body, I am finally packed and ready to kick some ass! This is my gallery piece that the animation department asked all the students to prepare for the first gallery. I inked and painted on acetate paper and then mounted it on a water color background. It was the first time I painted on acetate, so it was truly a trial and error piece.

Art Adventures

Yesterday, I inked/started painting on acetate paper! It was AMAZING and HARD! You have to ink one side, and then flip the cell over and paint on the other (shadows/highlights first, then neutral colors). I can understand how women enjoyed working in the ink and paint department back in the day at Disney. I started a watercolor background with contrasting colors. 

SanFran

My family just took a vacation/college trip to SanFran. It was a GREAT time!!! I personally enjoyed the airport drawing time, but besides that we went to the Cartoon Art Museum, CCA college, and the Walt Disney Family Museum. However, the best of all was the bus trip to Pixar! Pixar is my dream, and to just walk around the perimeter and imagine what its like inside was amazing! I even got to meet the security man at the gate and watch pixarians drive in and out! These are some character designs I drew on the plane, airport sketches, and people around SanFran.
